May 2012 was the second time in the last seven months with an increase in unemployment,their was 28,000 jobs lpst in May 18,000 in specialty trades and 11,000 in construction,this was the worst decline since August 2011,The Hill Blog has said that if the Highway and Transit bill gets passed this year it will soften the blow caused by the reduction in construction demand.This shortfall was caused by a decrease by 3.0 % in public construction and about the same percentage in private construction.

The Associated General Contractors of America said that out of the 337 largest metropolitan areas only sixty of them saw an increase in construction employment the rest of them saw a small decrease or no change at all. Rueters News said they expected the rebound to happen quickly due to the increase in residentual construction permits that have been issued but have not started the construction yet.

Houston, TX their was an employee killed last Thursday that the Houston police have ruled a freak accident and that no charges were going to be filed.
